Online Game Shows Potholes of Government-run Health Care

August 18, 2009 (NEW YORK, NY) - The Hands Off My Health campaign, HandsOffMyHealth.org, today released a new online game demonstrating the perils of government-run health care to American patients. "Super Race to the Hospital" is an online racing game where player have to navigate road-blocks - from waiting lines, treatment denials and bureaucratic government red-tape - as they attempt to reach the hospital in time.

"The game is fun and light-hearted, but also is a stark example of what could really happen to American patients if they find themselves locked into a 'reformed' health care system dominated by the government," said Dr. Robert Goldberg, founder of Hands Off My Health. "Patients must race to the hospital for care while facing a quagmire of bureaucracy: losing your doctor, finding a new hospital when your local one shuts down and getting in line for standard tests and care. Meanwhile, the days are ticking by and their health is deteriorating."
